The XC-Ice is a hybrid of cross-country skis and ice skates for use on ice, using cross-country ski bindings and boots. The XC-Ice was invented and patented by Odd G. Burmo of Norway. With the XC-Ice hybrid skis, it is possible to enjoy cross-country skiing on frozen canals, rivers and lakes. The dual front and rear blades make skating over natural ice with cracks much easier. The body of the XC-Ice is flexible like a cross-country ski and allows the use of the same skiing techniques used with skis.
