We're a family-owned and operated business located in the ski and lakeside village of Rangeley in the mountains of Western Maine. Our retail store (called The SnowSource General Store - named after one of our companion websites) is located at the corner of Main and Pond Streets and our kicksled packing and shipping barn is right behind the store.

 

The Vermont Kicksled Company was founded by David Mitchell of Richmond Vermont in the foothills of the Green Mountains. David is an engineer and he meticulously researched all of the kicksleds made in the world before choosing Vansbro Sparkfabrik sleds for weekend adventures on the snow with his family and for his new business. He chose them because they were smoother and more stable when gliding on the snow than any of the other sleds he tested and because he liked their simple elegance, smart engineering and rugged construction.

When David's "real job" started to take more and more of his time, he called on us because he thought that our experience operating online retail businesses would be a good fit for continuing what he started at Vermont Kicksled.
