Double Kicksled

Hand-crafted in Colorado USA, the Mountain Boy Double kicksled is an artistic interpretation of a traditional, time-tested Nordic design. The sled body is made of American white ash and the comfortable slatted seat is made from many different select hardwoods. The handle on each sled is a specifically chosen native willow branch, hand-carved for a perfect fit and polished to show its natural beauty. No two handles are alike and each has its own look and feel. The hand rails keep children in and gives them a solid grip. And there is an elastic pocket behind the seat that fits a sweater or small pack. Multiple coats of UV-resistant, lead-free finish allows the sled to be left outside for extended periods without damage. 

The screws are stainless steel and the connecting bolts are high-grade anodized steel. The runners are highly flexible tempered steel with polished and waxed edges. A pair of  optional 1-3/8" wide plastic snow runners aka "snow floats" (that snap onto the steel runners to make it easier to glide over packed snow or in fresh snow) comes FREE with each sled. O-rings are welded to the front of each runner making it simple to attach a bridle and tugline for dogsledding.
