The Royal Flyer is an heirloom quality sled built to last for generations. Made with some of the most beautiful wood imaginable: highly figured maple, sanded smooth and hand-rubbed with a lead-free, marine-grade finish. Perfect on a wall and even better on a good steep hill. Stainless steel hardware. Powder-coated metal runners with extra-strong "knees" (the bent-metal parts that connect the runners to the sled). Patent-pending double-pivot design gives fabulous turning power, even on very hard-packed snow or slick ice. Hand-made in the Mountain Boy Silverton Colorado workshop in limited quantities; each sled is signed and numbered by the sledmaker.
Our price for the Royal Flyer is $375.00. Add a sled pad for $10.00 and custom lettering for $10.00 (see "Related Products" below) for a total cost of $395.00 which is $100.00 less than the price of the sled alone (without pad and custom lettering) on the Mountain Boy Sledworks website.
Measures 52”L x 24” W x 5” H, 16 lbs. Weight limit: 300 lbs. Age range: 3 years & up. Meets all ASTM and USC child safety criteria.
IN-STOCK and will be delivered directly to you from the Mountain Boy workshop in 5 to 7 business days. Email or call us for shipping to Canada.
MOUNTAIN BOY SLEDWORKS is owned and operated by Brice Hoskin, world famous sled designer. Silverton is a small town at elevation 9,300 feet in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado. It's home to backcountry (and now lift serviced) skiing at Silverton Mountain, but probably more famous for its sledding. Brice's eye-catching sleds incorporate modern technology with the tried and true wood construction techniques of the past.
